Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Watershed Labs LLC for using Verbiary. Please read them — using the Service means you accept them.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Verbiary mobile app and the website at verbiary.app (the “Service”), operated by Watershed Labs LLC (“Watershed Labs,” “we,” “us”). If you don’t agree with these Terms, please don’t use the Service.

The Service

Verbiary lets you look up words in a bundled offline dictionary, save the definition and sense you choose, and organize saved words under the book you’re reading. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

Your account

Some features require an account. You’re responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information, and let us know if you believe your account has been compromised.

Subscriptions, trial & billing

• Verbiary may offer a free trial followed by a paid subscription. If you don’t subscribe, some features may become read-only after the trial ends.
• Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store under your Apple account. Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings.
• Refunds are handled by Apple according to the App Store’s policies.
• Prices and plan details are shown in the app before you purchase and may change with notice for future periods.

Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the Service — for example, don’t attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer it, access it in unauthorized ways, or use it to break the law or infringe others’ rights.

Content & intellectual property

The words you save and notes you add are yours. The Verbiary name, logo, app, and design are owned by Watershed Labs LLC. Dictionary definitions are derived from Wiktionary and are used under its licenses (CC BY-SA / GFDL); those definitions remain under their respective licenses.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. Dictionary content may contain inaccuracies, and we don’t warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Watershed Labs LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above, and continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
